DON'T LET FASHION GO TO WASTE

Is the name of H&M's latest conscious campaign. As a H&M employee I get told about these campaigns we have and feel the need to promote them! As I'm sure my followers would be as interested in this as I am. H&M conscious is a collection that we get every year in store and online, it's a collection that thrives on creating a more sustainable fashion future with recycled garments and materials. And guess who the face of the campaign is?...

If you got Vogue this month then you will know that Vanessa Paradis is the face of the new H&M conscious collection. Paradis models a series of womenswear apparel and accessories in the campaign - pieces due to land in-store from March.  The entire range is made from sustainable materials such as organic cotton, Tencel and recycled polyester. A men's and childrenswear collection is also available.

"I like being part of something like the Conscious collection at H&M," said Paradis. "I try my best to shop consciously, and vintage is very much part of my wardrobe. I love the style and it works in an eco-friendly way because I like to use and reuse old clothes." - Vogue.com
Every year, tons of textiles end up in landfills. But as much as 95% of these textiles and clothes could be used again. That's why H&M have started a new campaign to collect clothes in store of any brand, quality or condition, to send out with usual deliveries to the nearest processing plant. The clothes will then be graded and hand-sorted. Zero waste is the goal! Items that are too worn and torn to be reused will be recycled and turned into raw materials and new products.

So if you've got something worn, torn or hopelessly out of style - don't throw it away or let it pile up in your wardrobe, bring it to H&M and help decrease the amount of textiles being wasted!
Take your clothes to any H&M store and for each bag you hand in, you will receive a £5 voucher to redeem on your next purchase of £30 or more!
