To celebrate the start of the festive season, fashionvouchers.com have asked me to find the best Christmas party outfit for £100 and under from a merchant of my choice. After searching their store page I finally decided to use Asos.com as my chosen retailer for this competition, I've always gone to Asos for going out dresses and events because of their great offers and student discount in association with UniDays and at the moment Asos have up to 30% off of their 'getting party ready' section and free next day delivery when you spend over £75 via the fashionvoucher.com site, so this appealed to my thrifty nature!
So here is my killer christmas party outfit! I love over compensating girly-ness when it comes to christmas parties, any excuse to get glammed up with copious amounts of glitter and sequins is my idea of perfection!
It was an easy choice choosing this Asos party dress with sequin bodice from the Asos collection which is directional, exciting and diverse and breaks the fashion rules, this cutting edge semi-sheer mesh fabric dress has a high neckline, sleeveless styling, sequined bodice, exposed zip fastening to the reverse, a cinched high waist and a full, pleated ballerina-style skirt with double mesh overlay and has been cut with a fit and flare shape making it every girls dream dress. Not only is the fit a dream, the price went from £45 down to £31.50 with my amazing fashionvoucher.com code!
I've teamed it with an essential envelope clutch, as a strapped handbag would take away the detail of the sequined bodice, I've chosen an Asos collection metal bar detailed clutch, it features a rectangular, leather-look main with a fold over envelope flap and gold-tone hardware to the sides, a bargain price at £14, originally £18.
My favourite part of this outfit is the footwear, what girl in her right mind doesn't love a good pair of studded flatforms? These River Island for Asos pader platform sandals have been crafted with a smooth, suede-effect upper and a wedge, including a peep toe to front, high cut vamp, single strap to the heel and stud detailing. Flatforms are a great invention to the shoe world as I fail in the stilletto department, champagne and stillettos don't co-ordinate! So I wont find myself strugging to walk or falling over in these gorgeous studded flatforms which were £40 down to £28 with my voucher!
No sandals are complete these days without the once fashion faux-pas, socks! These shoes would go great and finish off this outfit with a pair of Asos peraline trim metallic socks that have been made from stretch fabric and have a glitter finish, the ruffled lace trim adds a girly touch and the contrast detailing to the heel and toe rocks the outfit up a bit! Best bargain yet at £5.
The total of my outfit comes to £78.50, under the limit means I can splash out on eyelash extensions and a brow tint at my local salon that will keep me looking great all night! So what do you think of my outfit?
